- Spread salt – or sand if there are nearby wells - on doorways and steps.
- Help dig out fire hydrants and storm drains in your neighborhood.
- If you have storm damage, keep all receipts for repairs. Take photos and report and document all damages with you insurance company.
- If the storm causes major damage to provincial infrastructure and private homes and businesses, a disaster financial assistance program may be offered
