Disaster Financial Assistance

Disaster and near disaster events in the past several years have imposed, in some instances, severe financial stress on farmers, small business owners, and operators of non-profit organizations.

After a major emergency, the Province of Nova Scotia may put a Disaster Financial Assistance program in place, in partnership with the federal government. If you have any uninsurable damage to your farm, small business or non-profit organization, this program can give you some basic assistance to help you get back on your feet.
